Since 2012, twenty-nine (29) Gilman Scholars have studied on the KIIS Tanzania program. The KIIS Tanzania program includes practicums for students in health related majors such as medicine, nursing, health administration, public health and social work. The practicums provide rich hands-on experiences in hospitals, HIV clinics and orphanage homes among other settings. The program is based in the city of Dar es Salaam. We also take excursions to Arusha for an entire day of Safari and viewing of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa; and the Island of Zanzibar to discover the rich land and sea biodiversity of Tanzania.
